  1. Psalm 8

    1 O Lord our Governor, how excellent is thy Name in all the world *

    thou that has set thy glory above the heavens!

    2 Out of the mouth of very babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength, because of thine enemies *

    that thou mightest still the enemy, and the avenger.

    3 For I will consider thy heavens, even the works of thy fingers *

    the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained.

    4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him *

    and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

    5 Thou madest him lower than the angels *

    to crown him with glory and worship.

    6 Thou makest him to have dominion of the works of thy hands *

    and thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet;

    7 All sheep and oxen *

    yea, and the beasts of the field;

    8 The fowls of the air, and the fishes of the sea *

    and whatsoever walketh through the paths of the seas.

    9 O Lord our Governor *

    how excellent is thy Name in all the world!

  2. Which denomination built it and who stole it from them! Under whose authority were both of The Archbishoprics of Canterbury and York established, as well as all the Anglican Bishoprics in Great Britain that date back to the time of Henry VIII and who built most of their great Cathedrals?

  3. Well, the church's name is York Minster. And personally I think any historical English Cathedrals should just be simply refereed as cathedral, not Anglican nor protestant cathedral.

  4. This cathedral may have been roman catholic, but it is now Anglican, and catholics can only dream of producing music of this calibre

  5. 14. This Message says that the Protestant, evangelical churches, including the so-called revealed or restored churches and the missions and ministries are the image of the beast that is the Catholicism and have received its mark, its spirit that they call "holy spirit". Even if they speak in tongues, baptise in the Name of Jesus Christ, resuscitate the dead and preach the whole Bible, the spirits that animate them and which they call “holy spirit” are the spirit of python, the spirit of divination. This Message says that a baptism for restitution is necessary for all the inhabitants of the earth.

  9. The words of Psalm VIII from the Book of Common Prayer Psalter (1662) and the King James version of the Bible, modified slightly to reflect the words actually sung by the choir:

    1 O Lord our Governor, how excellent is thy name in all the world : thou that hast set thy glory above the heavens!

    2 Out of the mouths of very babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength, because of thine enemies : that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

    3 When I consider thy heavens, even the works of thy fingers : the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained,

    4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him : and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

    5 Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels : and dost crown him with glory and worship.

    6 Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands : and thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet;

    7 All sheep and oxen : yea, and the beasts of the field;

    8 The birds of the air, and the fishes of the sea : and whatsoever moveth through the paths of the seas.

    9 O Lord our Governor : how excellent is thy name in all the world!
    ———-
    Glory be to the Father, and to the Son : and to the Holy Ghost;

    As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be : world without end. Amen.
