Reply Isnt vain repetitions of prayers like something we cant do. Correct me if im wrong im a new christian i dont know Reply Why dangerous? It simply wont work. Reply And what is the danger of this prayer used incorrectly Reply Huh… dangerous??? No, never. Reply I have heard this before in another video that to incorrectly say this prayer is dangerous. Does it open you to the demonic? Does it cause a false humility? What makes this prayer any more dangerous than any other prayer directed to Jesus? Reply The Bible says : "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions,as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." Constantly repeating the same sentence is vain repetitions and lack of trust. Also : "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain." Constantly repeating God's name is not respectful and silly. And we would not talk to others this way, it's common sense. Finally it is paganistic and dangerous because by repetiting the same words, man can go into hypnotic trance and evil spirits may enter. Reply the sinner part was added in the later centuries if i recall Reply TO EVERYONE, WHO IS INTERESTED IN ORTHODOXY AND PRAYER:https://ctosonline.org Reply Why can't it be dangerous Reply Talking to Jesus isn't dangerous. He is always welcoming of our interaction with him – no need to get permission from anyone else, that's not Biblical. Jesus desires an intimate relationship with us! 🙂 I imagine a Christian can use this prayer as a jumping off point, but Matthew 6:7 clearly says "And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words." No need to repeat and repeat. Just talk to God. Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
