OSHO-Lado Mat, Jago! लड़ो मत, जागो!
OSHO: Do not fight, Wake Up! Buddha was speaking at sunset. The king had come to listen. He was sitting in the front and was shaking his big toe. Buddha stopped speaking in the middle and started to look at the king’s toe. The king became embarassed, nervous, became restless. Other people also began to look at Buddha looking at the king’s toe When king saw Buddha looking at his toe, he quickly stopped the toe which was moving continuously till then. Buddha again started to speak. But after a short while again the king started to shake his toe. There are some people like him no? sitting on the chair, they will be shaking their legs, will itch here and there, will keep on doing one thing or other. They have no awareness, what they’re doing. Buddha again stopped speaking. The king became restless. His minister is also seated near him, his queen was there, even they thought this is a very humiliating thing. The king said, why do you stop speaking? And start looking towards my toe? Buddha said, I look towards the toe because Why is this toe shaking? You give me an answer. The king said I do not have awareness? When you stop, look towards my toe, then I remember that the toe is shaking. Then I stop it that instant, then again I forget, and again it starts shaking. Then Buddha said, it’s your toe or someone else’s? Your toe moves and you don’t come to know, then you can even go cut someone’s head one day because it’s your hand. and you will not come to know. And this is not a joke, many deaths happen like this where a murderer kills someone but they don’t realize it, Only after doing they become aware that Oh! what is this that I did, what has happened! And such murders have also happened that the murderer has testified in court that they did not do it. At first it used to be understood that they are lying. But now psychoanalysts say it is not necessary that they’re lying; it is possible that they’re saying the truth; they may not know at all, the murder might have been done is extreme unconsciousness. Because when a man is mad with anger they almost become unconscious. In a state deep anger body has certain glands, from which poison begins to run through your blood and because of that poison an unconsciousness comes. In that state of unconsciousness someone can even commit murder, they can commit suicide too. And this is how you are living — mechanical. First start becoming aware about your body. Walking – do it knowingly, with awareness. Sitting – do it knowingly, with awareness. Lying down – do it knowingly, with awareness. Such depth has to be brought into awareness that a moment comes at night even turning on the side, with awareness. And in the end when sleeping then also you have the awareness you will be aware in your sleep. And the day this event happens that day one stage is complete, you have completed one-third of the journey. Now second experiment is on the mind. Be aware about the mind’s thoughts, desires, ambitions, memories, imaginations, dreams they are to be watched. this web of all desires of the mind, It is possible to see this only when at first your awareness towards the gross processes of your body are awakened. Then you can descend to the subtle. One step at a time has to be taken. Whoever becomes successful with the body will be successful with the mind also; In his hand the secret is achieved. And when towards your mind your awareness deepens you will be surprised. When awareness deepens with the body then in the body a loveliness, a softness, a beautitude, a grace descends. A music, a harmony, envelops it. The way the body sits-stands a miraculous elegance overcomes it, in the whole appearance a divinity comes over — a profound peace, a silence, a blissfullness. In every cell a festival. And when awareness deepens with the mind then desires, thoughts depart by themselves, do not have to fight. One who fights he will lose. One who wakes up he wins. Remember this sutra well: One who fights will lose. Then you will have to say– “Hajaar Bochar Dhore Koto Nodi-Prantar Beriye Gelam Ae chalaur mane tobu Bojha gela na Aaami hariye gelam Aami hariye gelam.” Lost, Lost, lost very badly! In the journey of thousands of years so many rivers, how many forest regions have been crossed, then also the purpose of walking is not known. Lost, lost very badly! Defeat is the result of your incorrect process. One who will awaken to the mind see his mind departs. You awaken and the mind is gone. The degree you awaken, the same degree mind is gone. If you are awake ten percent then ninety percent will be mind. If you awaken ninety percent then ten percent is mind. And if you awaken ninety-nine percent then one percent is mind. And if you awaken hundred percent then mind is zero percent. And then a rare event happens. As if in the body a grace descends, similarly on the mind a rare ecstasy, without reason bliss– there is no reason, there is no cause, there is no purpose, there is no aim– simply without reason waterfalls begin to burst, stream of bliss begins to flow! And when in the mind this event happens then the third step remains, which is most subtle– that is of the heart awareness towards emotions. That is the subtlest of our world. Emotions are deeper than thoughts also. And emotions are more delicate than thoughts. Then the last experiment has to be done: your emotions have to be watched. One who is victorious over thoughts he will win over emotions also. The secret is the same, the alchemy is the same, the art is the same; Only now the depth has to go on increasing. If you learnt how to swim, so now what is the difference whether you swim in the shallows or in the depth. The world of emotions is the deepest. When you awaken towards emotions, the degree to which you awaken the same degree emotions will depart. And when all emotions are departed then the time for the rare event has come when the sages have said “Raso vaisah!” Ras (Juice of ife) is the last definition of the divine. Ras flows over. Ras is a miraculous word. In no language of the world such a word exists. The divine is the form of the ras. And these are the three steps; after these three steps Fourth is grace. The fourth is also there, but that is not your step. Three you take, fourth step the divine takes. That fourth we have called — Turiya, Samadhi. You completed three, you attain the authority, become eligible to attain the fourth. The fourth you cannot take. The fourth the divine shall take. This whole existence stands in your support. And this fourth step also happens and samadhi deepens, the clouds of samadhi surround, the month of the rains has come, drizzling begins– then there is victory in life. You can call it the state of the ‘Jin’, the state of the victorious. Before that there is only defeat and defeat.
