If he can't stop them then he isn't all powerful and if he wont he isn't loving. Reply I would like to ask the Atheist why there is suffering if there is no God? Whenever bad things happen folks always blame God, who not blame Satan or bad people? Noone ever blames the enemy for the suffering only God even if they say don't believe. Reply So, the initial question is, why god allows suffering? I'm still looking for an actual answer in the Boeing analogy, if anyone finds it, I'll be grateful. Reply Atheists want to blame God for all the bad and evil in the world. But refuse to accept human accountability's part in it. Reply Ps.18:2626 with the purified you show yourself pure; and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous. Reply The atheist has no ultimate standard therefore they cannot challenge anyone. Denying the existence of God is to give up knowledge which is similar to absolutes. Bit like saying words don't exist but they are using words to make that statement. I have had quite a few atheists tell me there is no absolutes, there you go, self-refutation. Reply Awesome! Reply I hate this question. It’s like asking, “God, why can’t everyone everywhere just be happy all the time and never be sad ever? You must not exist because how could you allow someone to go through any kind of emotional pain?” Reply most probably that guy wont count the truth as an option. He is indeed a fool ! Reply Why haven't we evolved away the feeling of suffering if that feeling is so bad? Reply I never thought about that! its so true, i mean if a designer of an airplane made a few mistakes then people shouldn't blame it on God! he gave them free will and tin that wil there is the laws that cause certain things to take place and happen! Reply Here's a radical idea: suffering leads to God. Life is suffering, and people don't like suffering, so they try to get away from it any which way they can. They try to be promiscuous, wealthy, decadent, powerful, proud, anything that brings temporary escape. But the flaw is that the suffering always returns. With God, that suffering can be eternally quenched. God's love is the only thing that can offer a permanent escape from evil. Just think, if there was no suffering, there would be no reason to seek God, to seek his love. God doesn't need anything from us, but he loves us anyways, and wants us to love him. It can be hard to accept love from someone who allows you to get hurt, and this is why so many turn away from him; but when you do accept him, you can be truly happy. Reply Suffering comes from the journey that God has and was to take when he left Heaven to die on the cross at Calvary. It's actually one of the clearest teachings in the Bible. The teaching that Jesus Christ is God and that he died on the cross. When the Bible introduces God in any scene it always describes him, using different names and descriptions to do so: God is longsuffering:Exodus 34:5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. :6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, :7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. :8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped. People like this atheist do well to ask this question, but not so by failing to let the Bible be its own expositor, which is poor theology. They take the concept of God/gods, the concepts of good and evil, but fail to measure what they are, therefore they fleet between their own versions and when asking a Christian, the Bible's version. The Christian, when studying the Bible takes it at face value and let it explain itself from the start to the end, rejecting the atheist's conflation of the concepts. Proverbs 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. :5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. When Adam and Eve sinned, they enacted the need for God to die on the cross. They join the battle that had started in Heaven. Their sin introduced it and a new order to nature into this world. It made a case for good and evil to coexist together. Good and evil describes the life and death of God as Jesus Christ. What we experience it the natural ramifications of that journey. It's all based on that and not something arbitrarily added to the creation. Matthew 13::24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: :25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. :26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. :27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? :28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? :29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. :30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. Reply it is weird , but true. atheists asking God , whom they do not believe in , questions . Reply Jesus suffered so why wouldn’t we??! Also man has free will and that means bad things will happen. Sufferings produce patience and patience produces strength. Strength produces wisdom and wisdom produces perseverance. All things that help us grow in the Lord and more in his image. There is always some good in sufferings. People chose not to look for it but when sought it is found. Regardless if that’s a lesson learned, or a teaching to others or a bad man off the streets to not cause more harm or a personal strength and growth from it etc etc there is always good. As long as man has free will and Satan rules the earth trying to tear us away from God, there will always be bad things that happen. You call on the Lord to help fight back and stand guard against evil, for it won’t stop until the Lord returns again. Reply OBEY Jesus Christ Luke 14:33 33In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples. Acts 11:26 – And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. Reply hahaha so mr. Comfort's anwser is ,,well your belief is stupid so I don't have to anwser your question?" Reply I actually kind of agree with Ray this time. The existence of suffering is not proof that a god does not exist. It *is*, however, proof the Christian's god doesn't exist. Reply Truth Reply I think a big part of it is that atheists believe that this is all there is and there's no immortal soul which bleeds over into their views on religion. Until I actually started reading the Bible I struggled with these questions too. But the reality is that this is not the end game. Yes, we live in a fallen world, but whatever God is working towards once this world is judged must be worth it in order for Him not to just scrap the whole thing and start over with programmed robots who no longer have the capacity to sin, rebel, and cause suffering. And once you accept that this is not all there is, there is an afterlife, and that Jesus Himself endured tremendous suffering when He could have just kicked back as a rich, comfortable king, you realize the flesh isn't what's important to an immortal being. Reply Presupposition….If there is a loving God..he owes me 72 pain-free happy years!….lol Reply It does make you wonder why atheists belive what they believe,is it a deep hurt towards god, there trying to out think the living God ,the maker off the universe, the designer off the human eye, brain and DNA.there like mice with microphones yelling a their own creator.god bless Reply I go through suffering every single Day.
